WHO IS DAVID KNOWLTON?

Hello, my name is David Knowlton. I am a Ugandan, born again, and electrician by professional, guitarist and as well as, praise and worship leader. Thanks to God who has given us big manifested dream – Jesus and Me Children’s Ministries, which when fully grown will bless many people. I also thank God that he has placed me in such a dynamic and growing country. The potential of Uganda to be a leader in Africa is clearly evident. Allow me to share with you a little bit how Jesus and me CM idea birthed in me.
Previously I worked with some projects dealing with children . Whenever I am moving, I easily get attracted to the children and what they do usually captures my attention. Sometime back as I would be moving along streets or slums and other places , I would feel like doing something for them. The situation which these children are in strikes my heart deep and I would feel like having a special independent NGO that would look at all children no matter whether they are orphans or not. When I discussed this idea with some people they told me that it was difficult to do something like that unless when I have lots of money and cars. For sure I also knew how hard it was and I got discouraged somehow. Still on and on , I would feel that strong passion for doing it and I did not give up praying. I had one thing in mind “If I am to head a special independent ministry I must first have legal document” so that I / we don’t get into constant problems with the city authorities or the government.
One day I woke up and thought that it was the right time to go for it , I just wanted to do my part and God would also do His part. I said “if this is the will of God it will go through but if it is not then nothing will happen”. I shared the idea with some people , they backed me up and we formed the constitution work plan and other paper work and we were successfully registered as a non-profit / non governmental organization and this is how we know that it is the will of God for us to run JESUS AND ME CM.
I know that we are just at the grass root level or early beginning and we still have along way to go but I am not worried because I believe that God is in control. Our intended target for our goals and objectives is to build a primary school, children’s recreation centre and a hospital , We shall be very grateful when this goal is achieved. hi knowlton, I’ve read your story on how you conceived the Jesus and Me CM and its so inspiring to me because i too have the same vision for children in the category you described. I encourage you brother in Christ to press on, for when God gives a vision He also gives the power to carry that vision forward (where there’s a vision there is provision).

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ for whom everything is possible. I have read and satisfied by what your oranization is offering. I am however writing on behalf of my sister who is doing her Diploma in accounting in Hoima district.
She is almost completing her program and she requested me to find her a volunteer position as an accountant. Meaning she will be train with someone qualified inside your organization. she therefore said that she is interested in christian organization as we are a very strong christian family. She will not be of a financial burden to your agency as I will be providing for her during the course of her training. I will also be paying for any fee that you maybe needing in order to process her volunteer information if any.
